OST - Bergkamp, Elizabeth (May), 95, passed away at her son's home in Oswego, Kan. on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006. Rosary 7 p.m. Sunday; funeral mass 10:30 a.m. Monday, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ost; interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. She was born Sept. 11, 1910 in Ost, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Stuhlsatz May. On Aug. 31, 1938 she married Fred B. Bergkamp and they made their home on a farm near Ost. Preceded in death by husband, Fred; sons, Alfred, Albin, Robert, Norman and Leon; daughter, Rita Ferrier; brothers, Jake, Carl and Nick May; sister, Clara Holder. Survivors: sons, Herbert of Garden Plain, Fred "F.J." of Oswego, Jim of Webster City, Iowa; daughters, Lavina Lewis of Mountain View, Calif., Mary Annuschat of Winfield; brothers, Aloy May of Conway Springs, Pete May of Garden Plain, Francis May of Ost; sisters, Sister Florence May A.S.C., Marie Marx both of Wichita; 34 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren. Memorials established with St. Joseph Catholic School Endowment Fund and St. John's Hospice, Joplin, Mo. Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Garden Plain.
